Are you interested in making a difference in your Historic Downtown Longview?  Forbes declared our Longview, WA Number 11 of the top 20 "Most Beautiful Cities In America".  Come join an energetic team of creative, hardworking people-Longview Downtown Partnership (LDP for short).  We are local merchants & loyal citizens committed to the preservation of our city.

How does membership help our Historic Downtown?

• LDP is the sponsor of the annual Christmas parade that kicks off the holiday shopping season each year.
• LDP purchases the lamp post decorations downtown which have included:  Christmas decorations and banners.  We will soon be raising funds for hanging flower baskets as well.
• LDP installed the garden beds along Commerce Ave and the side streets and has been instrumental in their upkeep.

• LDP works hand in hand with city officials and other organizations to bring events and happenings to our Downtown. Some examples have been the outdoor art sculptures, car shows, farmer's markets, street fairs, and more

• Funds collected by the LDP are used to promote Downtown anyway possible. Some of our expenditures have been:  website, garden bed supplies, flyers, event coordinators, research and marketing of all sorts, insurance for the Christmas parade

• LDP has championed some impressive projects in the past and is currently working to improve public awareness of what's going on Downtown in our community gem

• LDP is responsible for the Historic signs directing traffic to our downtown

Here's a few things that membership can do for you:

• Business owners can benefit through membership as the LDP works to increase foot traffic and drive sales up in the Historic Downtown District.  A united core group of business men and women has a much greater chance of success in the competitive marketplace.  LDP Members have access to LDP equipment for special events (stage, etc.)
• Private citizens can benefit in a multitude of ways.  Having a healthy, vital, thriving downtown will draw the right kind of people to our area causing property values to go up and in the long run helping to create jobs in our area.  Plus, the added benefit and convenience of being able to find anything and everything you need or want in the heart of your city.  It's great to not have to leave the area to find amazing gift ideas, home furnishings, health clubs, restaurants and a multitude of services right here in our very own Downtown Longview.
• All can receive a sense of pride that we worked together to make our community stronger, healthier and more vibrant.
